ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
HospEquip are excited to present a hands-on 3 hours certified training roadshow across Australia in manual handling. Learn from an internationally trained expert – David Rogan who will be joining us from New Zealand. David Rogan has over 25 years of experience in manual handling, including the System Romedic range.

During our workshop, you will gain a greater understanding of how these assistive technologies can be utilised to their full potential and help you find the optimal solution to make client lives easier. David Rogan will teach the fundamentals of manual handing covering practical tips and techniques in:
1. In Bed Management: Participants will be able to develop a practical understanding of the management of an individual in bed, whilst reducing the risk of back injury.
2. Sit-to-Stand: The workshop will focus on the core skills of a sit-to-stand and the importance of the use of core skills and principles when working with assistive devices.
3. Hoist Selection & Sling Application: The workshop will provide participants with information to select the appropriate hoist, the use and functions of the hoist along with the assessment and application of slings.
4. Small Changes, Big Impact: This training workshop examines several moving and handling tasks and how, if we make small changes or introduce small items of equipment, we can reduce the effort required to complete the task.
